The New Inquisition is a group of Gifted individuals, set up to defend their city from predation by drinkers. At the start of the series, they haven't got a formal policy on other unnatural races. Some of them see the world as a conflict of humans vs unnaturals, while others never even considered that there might be other races to worry about.
