Summary:Hunter's Gift/Chapter 1/Scene 2

• Leslie wakes up, regretting how many cocktails she drank last night. Mention that she'd been out with Jasmine and Rhiannon, but had lost both of them at some point. They'd been to multiple clubs. Jas had been drinking heavily because of a breakup. Leslie isn't sure if she was just there out of sympathy, or if there was something she'd been trying to put out of her mind as well.

• She's hungover, and feeling bruised. Last night is a jumbled blur of memories. Promises herself that she's going to cut down on drinking, but implied she's unlikely to follow through on that.

• Brief reminiscence. Comparing Adam (a fighter) to Brad (a sadist). Some detail about what happened with Brad; and a reminder that Leslie doesn't want to remember it.
